The Morning Freshness

I felt cold
I could still not open my eyes
Guys, this is good
Better than my favourite food
With eyes closed i said a prayer.
It is a beautiful morning
One with promise, I know
I still could not open my eyes
And so I continued
Enjoying the cool breeze of the Gulf of Guinea
Which like a wide blanket, lie to the South of the wretched ancient buildings.
Which tell great histories of the good, bad and the beautiful
I do not wish to go out
No, not yet.
I do not wish to go out
To the narrow street
Waving to known faces as to greet
No, I do not seem the find the inner strength
To move the tired me out of the place i lie.
So I lie,
Enjoying the cool breeze of the Gulf of Guinea
Which like a wide blanket lie to the south o the wretched ancient buildings.
It is morning
I am not in a hurry
To rally all strength.
Today I will enjoy the morning
It is morning, a beautiful morning
I will enjoy it and bless the Lord He gave it.
